The researchers found most of the children with autism had both intestinal problems and signs of autism before receiving the vaccine.
Researchers say it is safe for children to get the vaccine for measles, mumps and rubella without a risk of developing autism. Ten years ago, another study concluded there might be a connection. That study was later retracted, but the fear lived on. Now new research provides strong evidence against any association. VOA's Carol Pearson has more.
