In a small New York town across from Canada, two women from different cultures pair up to smuggle illegal aliens into the U.S.  To do that, they risk their lives crossing a frozen river in a beat-up car so they can pick up the immigrants in Canada and slip them into the U.S.  Director Courtney Hunt weaves a human drama about poverty, crime, and self-sacrifice.

VOA's Penelope Poulou has a review.
